New Patients
Here's exactly what happens when you walk in. No pressure, no upsell, no being handed off to three different people. Just a thorough exam and a real conversation with Dr. Yeo about what your mouth actually needs.
Start to finish, most first visits run 60 to 90 minutes.

You arrive and check in.
About 10 minutes of paperwork and an insurance check. You can fill most of it out online ahead of time if you'd rather skip that part.

Digital X-rays, if you need them.
Not every first visit does. If you've had X-rays recently at another office, bring them and we'll use those instead.

A full exam with Dr. Yeo.
This is the part that takes 20 to 30 minutes. Every tooth gets looked at individually. Gums get probed. Soft tissues get checked. Oral cancer screening is part of it. Bite gets evaluated.

A cleaning, if we have time.
Some first visits include one. Some don't — it depends on what the exam turns up and how the schedule runs. Either way, you'll leave with a plan.

A sit-down with Dr. Yeo.
This is the part most offices skip. He'll walk you through what he saw, in plain language, and answer whatever you want to ask. Take as much time as you need.

The treatment plan.
If something needs to be done, you'll get a written, itemized plan within a few days. Nothing gets scheduled without your approval, and nothing gets started without a clear estimate.
What to bring
A photo ID
Your insurance card
A list of whatever medications you're currently taking
Records from a previous dentist, if you have them
Any questions you've been saving up. Bring all of them.
If you're nervous about coming in
A lot of people are, especially if it's been a while. Bad past experiences. Anxiety about cost. Not knowing what you're walking into. All of that is normal, and none of it makes you unusual here.
A few things that help:
Ask questions. As many as you want. We'd genuinely rather answer ten than have you leave with one still stuck in your head.
Take your time with the paperwork. There's no clock.
Tell Dr. Yeo what you're nervous about. He actually adjusts. Slower pace, more explaining as he goes, fewer unexpected moments.
Paperwork
If you'd rather knock out the paperwork beforehand, we can email the new-patient forms to you when you book. Fill them out on your couch. Skip the clipboard.
Payment and insurance
Most major PPO dental plans work here. If you're not sure whether your plan is one of them, call (214) 623-0880 with your insurance info and we'll check it before you come in. CareCredit financing is available for bigger treatment plans, and you'll get a written, itemized estimate before anything starts. No surprise bills.
Insurance verification
Call (214) 623-0880 with your insurance details and someone on the team will check your coverage before you come in. It usually takes less than 10 minutes.
Special notes
Families. Parents and kids on the same day is a normal request. Call to coordinate times.
Emergencies. If you're in pain right now, don't bother with the new-patient form. Call (214) 623-0880 and we'll get you in the same day.
